As of now, the University of Duisburg-Essen provides an R-Mirror. R is a free programming language for statistical calculations and graphics, which is used in teaching and electronic exams at the university.

Currently, the PC Halls at the University of Duisburg-Essen do not yet have Internet access to the outside after the cyber attack. In order to provide the PC Halls with access to the software R and the various packages even during exam periods, the Center for Information and Media Services (ZIM) has set up an internal mirror.

In addition, an external access to the R-Mirror of the UDE is enabled, so that our R-Mirror can also be used as a service by other universities and users to download the software.

The R-Mirror is checked daily against the CRAN sources and can be reached at the following URL: https://r-mirror.zim.uni-due.de.
