[7.7.2023] Campus app „myUDE tiny“

Since the cyber attack on the University of Duisburg-Essen, the campus app myUDE can no longer be used with the usual range of functions. The reason for this is changed/missing interfaces to other systems due to the attack and reconstruction. The complete recovery of the app would require a lot of time and manpower. In order to provide students with the most important functions, an interim solution is now available in the form of myUDE tiny.

Through myUDE tiny, the following basic functions are covered:

  • Mobile semester ticket;
  • University library functions (library account and search);
  • Access to the dining plans of the Studierendenwerk.

The app is available for Android and iOS operating systems and can be downloaded free of charge from the Google Playstore and Apple App Store:
To Google Playstore: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.myude.app
To the Apple App Store: https://apps.apple.com/de/app/myude/id560747754

Alternatively, the app can be accessed in the Playstore by searching for „myUDE tiny“.

All users who already have myUDE installed on their device simply need to update the app in the Playstore.

The Campus-App.nrw project, which began in April 2022 and in which the Center for Information and Media Services is the consortium leader, began developing a common framework for a new campus app together with other universities. This development will be continued and myUDE and myUDE tiny will be replaced in the future.
