as the IT infrastructure of the university will probably not be available for some time, we are unfortunately forced to cancel the MSM exam period planned for next week and find an alternative solution. In consultation with the student councils, we have decided to move the exam period to the first week after the Christmas vacations (Tuesday, Jan. 10, through Friday, Jan. 13). This will allow you to use the Christmas break for what we hope will be a more orderly preparation. We will reschedule the courses scheduled for the second week of January or switch to online formats that are not time-sensitive. The withdrawal deadlines for exams will automatically be extended to the time one week before the respective new exam date; it will hopefully be possible to withdraw online again in time.
Of course, you are free to approach individual examiners to coordinate the possibility of an earlier exam date already in the coming week. We will gradually add alternative e-mail addresses on this website, which you can use to contact the chairs.
For higher-level questions about exam organization, please contact Mr. Krebs at email@example.com.
All of this is not perfect, but for the moment we believe it is the best way to provide you and the chairs with the greatest possible planning security at a reasonable cost. You can believe us: We would have liked nothing better for you and for us than to finally experience a normal semester without crisis mode after two and a half years of pandemic. Now things are different again, but let’s not lose heart. We will also overcome this challenge together and bring the semester to a successful end!
We wish you all the best for the coming period and will do everything in our power to provide you with the usual services again as soon as possible. We will provide you with further information here in the next few days.
With best regards
Your Mercator School of Management
