[29.11.2022] Studierendenwerk operations

Due to the shutdown, there will also be temporary restrictions in the availability and services of the STUDIERENDENWERK. Here you will find an overview.

Cafeterias and canteens
Our facilities in Essen, Duisburg, Mülheim and Bottrop are regularly open for you. However, the following restrictions apply:

  • EC and credit card payments are not possible in the canteens and cafeterias on Campus Duisburg and on Campus Essen.
  • You can only load your student ID card with cash.
  • In all of our facilities, allergens and additives cannot be viewed on site.

In our canteens and cafeterias in Mülheim, Bottrop and Essen-Werden, as well as in the Cafélyse at Campus Klinikum and Bistro at Campus Zollverein, you can still pay cashless. We are currently working intensively on a solution to offer cashless payment again at Campus Essen and Campus Duisburg.

Our menu is available online on our website at stw-edu.de/speiseplan or on notice boards on site. There you will also find a list of all allergens and additives.

BAföG applications will still be processed by our BAföG team. However, we are not receiving any e-mails at the moment. Mails sent to us since Sunday 27.11.2022 have not reached us. Therefore, please send us your application or missing documents by mail. Following notices apply:

  • It is not possible to make an online appointment.
  • Our BAföG office cannot be reached by phone or e-mail.
  • The submission of documents and BAföG applications is temporarily only possible by mail.
